8/10 For Jimmy “B-Rabbit” Smith(Eminem) one and only film. It is really good. Showing a sense of naturalism through a biographical story of his Dark life and even reaching a non-rap audience. With Eminem’s performance, it is truly one that you could “Lose Yourself” over.

6.9/10 Its a good story that inspires you to not let the harder times in life beat you down. I do wish there had been a little more character development of the rival group. i think some of the scenes were unnecessary to the story and could’ve been replaced w something more

First off, Eminem deserves so much recognition for this movie. Second, this movie allowed him to be himself which made the acting crazy good. I loved seeing his story come to life. That lifestyle is not easy to come by or accept, I think that made the movie very honest.

It good for what it is but maby not a full movie

In the tradition of Rocky and Fever, the movie is a shrewdly engineered piece of proletarian pop -- a story of triumph -- but, like Eminem's enraged lyrics, 8 Mile has its own kind of vile candor.

This left me as speechless as Papa Doc.

Last 15 minutes is all time film. Love the story, depicts some parts of Detroit my family grew up in. Eminem is the kind of guy you just gotta root for. He spits like a camel and speaks as a goat
