The Last House Reviews

Jesus Christ, people have money to waste. Horrible acting, zero logic, dialogue with the natural flow of a hostage negotiation, and a plot moving at 200mph. Then a Captain America-style Avengers speech and a finale powered by ✨mercy✨. I wish I watched Sharknado.

I enjoyed the first half cause I was blind drunk, but then I sobered up for the second half and I’m just confused. The aliens trapped them for 5 years and ate people and then just showed mercy? And then just fucked off forever and no one ever saw them again? Did I miss something?

This movie was not good enough to justify the amount of cute animals I had to see die. Very slow, a lot of needless animal killings, it’s weird they ate their dog and just moved on. Very slow pace. The mom actor always looks like she is on the verge of passing out for no reason.

One of the last sentences was… “we showed them mercy and they showed us. We think they are still here.”

What the fuck. Yeah they are still there you saw them leave, and they kept the world locked up and ate people for 5 years… yeah they left cause you were nice..

I don’t know what everyone is talking about. I thought this was great. It’s an original concept that brings us new creatures rather than the same creatures we have seen over and over again. There’s a lot to this with the family dynamic, apocalypse, and emotional tones.

the message of one day the animals will retake earth because its THEIR home was good. but the movie itself was just bad. the family didn’t really feel like a family, which is something i’m usually not nit-picky about, this one was just not great [1/3]

cool concept but the ending was very anti climactic?? all that and because they showed mercy after 5+ years in ONE situation it all just..stopped..? idk

While there was a mystery it was good and then they explain what happened and they lost me… I don’t know but a bunch of Davy Joneses angry I don’t buy it.

I was loving this until the last 30 mins when it got absurd. Greta Lee is bad in this.

It was good. The pacing held up, visuals were sharp, and the performances felt authentic. Some scenes dragged, but overall, it left a strong impression.

The Last House and not a single brain cell within its walls. It might sound harsh, but the more I think back, the more plot holes I find. The ending is beyond silly and lazy to a point where I wish I had watched something else instead. It fits in the same category as Netflix's 'A Quiet Place' and 'Bird Box', both atmosphere and production-wise, though this is much worse. Great casting, and that's about it. I'm sure there'll be a sequel, but I hope they save the money and produce something else instead.

The Last House is a tense and emotional thriller with a dark atmosphere. The story keeps you interested, and the suspense builds nicely. Some parts feel predictable, but overall it’s a solid movie with a creepy and serious vibe.

this was a crazy ass journey bro 😭😭😭😭 the first half didnt really puzzle me as intended but the second half was surprisingly interesting. cheesy and typical, but interesting nonetheless. ill recommend this for people who just wanna watch something to pass time

Boooo. Long with poor ending.

6/10 Liked the ideal with good special effects, although seemed stretched, could have told within 1h 30m. Worth a watch.
