We Own This City is a powerful crime drama that brings to life the shocking true story of corruption within the Baltimore police force. With intense performances, and a gripping storyline this series is a must-watch for anyone who enjoys crime dramas.

I didn’t like the guy in it in the first couple of episodes. I feel like it shows what is happening in the real world right now.

The disjointed presentation of the timeline was a bit jarring but added to the chaotic feeling of the environment. Overall pretty good and allows the actors to play to their strengths.

Pretty freaking nuts that this is based on a true story… the fact that this was going on for so long without anyone batting an eye is so wild to me. In saying all that I will say that this series was really good. Watching Jenks become the bad cop is what is really happening today a man/woman who joins the force to make a difference then once they see the corruption they can then decide to become apart of that corruption or be one of the few. ACAB!

Wild story

What a gripping miniseries that is immensely made better because it’s somewhat of a spiritual successor of The Wire. I truly wish more people watched this amazing show.

This series delves into police corruption, ethics, and racial tension in Baltimore. Jon Bernthal leads a stellar cast with standout performances. Though flashbacks can confuse, it’s timely and compelling. 7.9

Bernthal as Wayne Jenkins is one of the greatest character portrayals I’ve ever seen….Gritty crime/drug drama that is a true story and delivers on every level. Can’t recommend this mini-series enough.

Berenthal delivers a powerful, nasty, overwhelming performance. Sickening that this is true, and how hopelessly flawed the justice system seems.

The timelines was slightly annoying but it tied in real nice. What a show to finish on Juneteenth…
