Not a feel good. Quite devastating but so well done!

The only determination I have reached after watching this. If THIS is only snippets of what Tolstoy wrote, I must read it. I mean to say that it’s just beautifully and horribly real. The actors did such a fantastic job with their roles, the cinematography was awesome. 10/10 recommend.

Phenomenal screen production and costuming and casting, sweet ending, but more morbid and sometimes explicit than preferred.

A period drama which portrays love most enticingly with unique and memorable characters, set in the early 19th century in the midsts of war as Napoleon’s unbeatable army invade Russia. Very good.
The show depicted Tolstoy’s novel so well it made me want to read more of his work

Lily James is excellent, she can play so many different personalities. The three main characters are all fantastic. Does a great job condensing a 1200 page book.
