I’m so geeked for the next episodes, it’s so well done so far, the animation is so insanely smooth and looks just like the books, I’m glad they decided to take time instead of rushing now 😩 edit: WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ANIMATION DUDE?

usually I try and finish a show before i rate it but good God this is boring af. it's so overbearing of the concept and rushes everything, there's like 7 different storylines rn. if each episode were a season long, it'd prob actually be good, but they crammed so much info into it

the animation quality really suffers after episode 1. :(

Wish there was a lot more but it’s great if you enjoy the series of books and comics.

Not very good tbh

The concept is cool, it’s everything else I have a problem with. I like how they went with a full black and white look to make it feel more like the manga but I think the adaptation of the art style only works in stills. Probably the worst animation I’ve ever seen

Never read the manga but I can tell they crammed a ton into these episodes because after a point it feels like i’ve missed important details even though i’ve been dialed in the entire time

Also it seems like they put the entire budget into the first episode because every episode after has noticeably worse animation

Still tho I really liked the art style and the black/white. The concept kept me intrigued and i’m a sucker for Junji Ito’s stuff so maybe some slight bias

I just wish they went as hard with the other three episodes as they did with the first and maybe made the episodes a bit longer to reduce the feeling of missing important details

I liked it but I’m a bit disappointed

really interesting animated horror mini series - honestly could have been done in a movie form and i may have enjoyed this a little more but i still had a great time with it - does some very interesting things with body horror and makes some animation risks that i appreciated

Unpleasantly surprised as to how boring this was. It was just…boring. And icky. Something is constantly happening, you get a break for info (source: trust me bro) and then it just goes on. If there was a point - I totally missed it. The animation declined after episode 1 as well.

they mashed together so many of the plotlines into each episode i feel like i would’ve been so confused if i hadn’t already read the manga and gotten the context of everything happening. i still liked it but this felt more like a preview of the manga than an actual adaptation
