Unknown
Unknown is easily one of the best Taiwanese BLs out there, and I still find myself missing it even though it’s been about a year since its release. The way it blends romance, drama, and suspense makes it stand out from many other BLs, and the chemistry between the leads is truly something special. One of the things that really stuck with me was how intense some of the conflicts were—there were times when I genuinely felt frustrated and because of what was happening between them. The emotional depth of this series is one of its strongest points. That being said, one thing that annoyed me to no end was the repeated mention of the “stepbrother” situation. We get it! There’s no need to keep bringing it up. It sometimes felt like an unnecessary barrier between them when their feelings were already so clear. Despite that, the romance itself was worth every second of frustration. The wait for each episode was absolutely painful, but it all paid off in the last two episodes. Seeing them finally express their love without hesitation was so satisfying.I loved how it balanced different tones throughout the show. There were moments that made me laugh, moments that made me want to scream in frustration, and moments that genuinely made me emotional. It wasn’t just about romance. It had layers of complexity that made it feel more real. Even my girlfriend, who is super picky about bls, ended up enjoying it, which says a lot about how well executed it was.Unknown is a must watch for any BL fan. It delivers a compelling story, great acting, and a romance that will stay with you long after the show ends. Even if certain aspects can be frustrating, the payoff is more than worth it. If youre still wondering around whether you should watch it or not, just do it—you won’t regret it.
