I loved watching this show with my lovely girlfriend hehe. I loved the style and art direction. The drama and story was interesting. The ending was lowkey ahh tho.

This show exceeded my expectations! It’s genuinely so good. I think what I love most about it is the complicated ‘friendship’ dynamic between Hikaru and Yoshiki. I’ve never watched a physiological horror anime but I think it’s gonna be one of my new favorite genres!

7/10 I honestly expected to love this going into it. The storyline sounded super interesting and I was hearing a lot of hype from manga readers on top of the great looking animation. I love horror and thriller/mystery series. Now this series does a good job at conveying their relationship and the struggles with Hikaru being gone and Yoshiki coming to terms that he’s gone and he’s forming a relationship with the monster as his own person (at least that’s how I see it). My only complaint is just the lack of horror or thriller element and even the mystery element is lacking. For a show about a monster pretending to be a dead person and we know nothing about it and a curse on a village, they try to explain it and build things up but then nothing happens and it just ends up being another conversation about the two of them having trouble connecting. The few times it had a bit of the horror/thriller aspect early on I loved it but it just started to feel a bit stale and not as interesting and I had a bit of trouble finishing it but it had a good ending. That detective spirit guy has done a whole lot of noting and just walks around and talks ominously. The side characters are also super boring and not memorable. I just worry this may be another series where just not much ends up happening yet there’s so much potential. I hope to be proven wrong!

Soundtrack's nice, I hardly felt to skip the intro/outro, the main characters are lovable, made me tear up numerous times, plus the mental breakdowns are depicted VERY well! The pacing n foreshadowing is so strategic, this is genuinely the most I've ever cared for any characters.

WOW. Such an amazing show that explores the supernatural, and the depression that follows losing (sort of) someone you loved. The animation is beautiful and the meaning of the whole story has so many layers it’s beautiful. Need season two yesterday.
