I wanted to love this but instead I dragged myself through to get to the end. While the premise has promise, there is terrible execution (pun intended) of the actual plot and character arcs. Was waaaay too slow to keep me engaged.

A little slow at parts. Especially the ones with Ezra but still pretty good. Conflicted between hating and loving the simplicity of the ending.

Steve Carrel’s acting made an ok show watchable (and at times good), but it’s a wasted performance in a “meh” series.

Disturbing, well acted

Slow moving show with decent acting and OK character development. Steve did a pretty good job in a non comedic role.

Loved this. It’s dark and twisted with a great end.

A 10-episode series that I decided to watch because it explores topics like psychology and psychiatry.

Steve Carell delivers an excellent performance as a therapist, and Domhnall Gleeson is also outstanding as a serial killer. The series explores themes such as impulses, depression, kidnapping, religion (Judaism), family struggles, and forgiveness.

I was expecting a different ending, and I think that is what kept it from becoming one of my favorite series. In my opinion, Dr. Strauss should have escaped from Sam, his kidnapper, because I would have liked to see him reunite with his son and finally forgive himself.

The most unfair part was that the killer was never turned over to the police, and his mother, despite knowing he was a danger to himself and others, allowed his problems to continue getting worse.

Overall, the series itself is not bad; the ending is what disappointed me. I don’t think the protagonist should have died, and I believe the killer should have been held accountable and turned over to the authorities.

Hoped it would have been better. The premise was good, but it lost its way.

Steve Carell in one of his best roles ever and Domhnall Gleeson is solid as the killer.
Binged this series in one night, didn’t want to switch it off.
