this was pretty good!! i didn’t like it as much as atla, but korra is an incredible avatar! the plot was interesting & i liked the characters. had a good blend of the old & the new. just a few things i think they could have done better, example: the ending should’ve been gayer.

88/100 gets overly hated & compared to Aang but has some of the best villians/side characters. Avatar: The Last Airbender is still better but this was a solid next step. By no means bad.

I love Korras story and her hardships as an Avatar but some of these stories were weird. Hopefully we got more info on the sequel to this.

So I’ve watched this show over the course of a decade. From childhood into my adulthood. I remember loving it. A “modern” 20s ish take on Avatar! Season 1 was great, I loved it. Korra was a confident (initially overly) young woman who was exceptionally talented in combat, lacked spiritual depth and that was the trek she started on throughout the series. Finishing season 4 and looking back. I loved the 1st Avatar arc, by far some of my favorite episodes learning about the lion turtles. I also liked the expansion of the abilities of Elements however they gotta be careful bc it’s starting to look like they blend a little. The show integrated old characters in with the new and honored ATLA in a good way. Loved General Iroh as a tribute. I would’ve maybe appreciated the show being a little more politically involved seeing the international dynamics assuming your viewership base aged up with ATLA into TLOK you can bring in some more adult themes kinda like they did with The Clone Wars. I love the pro bending, idk I just felt that they didn’t have to go overboard with action in the grandest scale. Like Aman was interesting, Zaheer would be an interesting s2 then bring in The eh season 2 as S3 but do a rewrite. Kuvira arc was good. If I had to describe the series, it was good but felt rushed. Another season or two to slow burn and get some more meaningful dialogue would have done a long way. Even just some episodes. I’m excited to see what they’ll do in the future. Maybe explore more past avatars. I liked it but not more than ATLA

I wish I had more resolution in the relationships. We got Varrick and Zhu Li but what about Bolin and Opal, Mako and Korra, Mako and Asami I still don’t understand why ppl are trying to ship Asami and Korra they just seem like good friends with no secrets, doesn’t feel romantic, It felt as if a very abrupt end.

Overall 7/10 follow-up from ATLA it’s good not amazing. Would recommend and a must watch if you are binging the Avatar universe. Infinitely live the art style as well.
