The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity

although i can't say this is one of my all time favorite animes (yet), i LOVE and recommend the manga to everyone, so i'm very happy it got a true-to-page adaptation. i'm really hoping for a season two or movie that will cover my favorite 'arcs' of the manga!

fragrant flower is so much more than a romance story. the themes of friendship, communication, emotional maturity, and genuine connection are super heavy.

a really good piece on overcoming physical societal expectations and how beauty isn't just about what you look like, but how you see and interact with the world around you.

PEAK ROMANCE One of the best romances I’ve seen. It doesn’t just tackle the relationship, but self-love, friendship, family, school, and more. It makes their lives feel real and not just all about the relationship. Wholesome and emotional with every character being great. 8/10

2.5 Not my style of anime. I don’t really resonate with the characters, nor did I particularly like one more than the other. I didn’t like how MC ended up not having much character development. The FC has very surface level personality. Its was mainly a found family than romance.

This was soooo cutee, literally i would just cry of this cuteness 😭😭 some episodes were kinda boring but the whole show made me so emotional and just... wow it was so good, i liked the characters.
