Really liked the first 3 seasons, but I felt that they had so much going on in season 4 nonetheless the last 4 episodes were really good

absolutely beautiful animation, engaging plot, fantastic characters and amazing representation!! there is so much to be said about these characters and their relationships and the amazing world-building in this show that i cannot possibly condense into 280 letters

One of my favorite animated shows of all time!
Full of magic and wonder and off course dragons! The story is compelling and exciting and the characters are special in their own ways.
It will keep you on the edge of your seat and will leave you wanting more!!

i thought it was rlly boring 😭 tbh i forgot what the plot was, and the story was kinda lame, but i’m also not super into fantasy with like elves and dragons and stuff so eh, 2/5

I have not found a animated show that is this deeply beautiful, emotional and intelligent since Avatar the last Airbender. The amount of love I have for the characters in this show is truly insane. 🌊❤️🐉 There are the BEST and worst men, and every woman good or bad is so badass.

such a beautiful & fun show! amazing characters, themes, visuals, comedy, & ships. very heartfelt & overall just so wonderful. i loved it so much & cant wait for the next season!! this story has my heart <3

I wanted to like this show so much but oh my god dude.

To start off positive, I loved almost all of the side plots. Viren, Claudia, and Soren were all such good characters. Ezran was cute and I wish his father would’ve had more screen time because of how sweet and interesting he was. I love Amiya and the sunfire elf queen’s relationship and that whole side plot. The character designs were gorgeous (except callum) and the world building was interesting.

The negatives… and there are many.

I HATE CALLUM. He’s genuinely just Sokka. Same voice actor, same personality, just white and canonically greasy. He was so annoying and so pathetic. I hated every time he was on the screen because he genuinely was so unlikable. Rayla isn’t safe either. Everything that happened in the show she somehow made it about herself, especially in the first three seasons. I wanted to like her so bad because she has such a good design but ugh.

Not to mention the overarching problem of gaping plot holes. Why the hell can Ezran talk to animals? And how is Callum the only human able to do magic? Just because he really really wanted to? I thought their mother would secretly be an elf but no? Just no explanation.

Idk I’m mostly just disappointed because I thought this show was supposed to be peak.

Also Aaravos is really hot. Ok bye.

I’ve been watching this show since it came out, and with how much I loved the characters I couldn’t bring myself to finish it. Especially with all the rumors I had seen, but I am very happy to finally dedicate time to finishing a show I love so dearly.
If you ever have the time to sit and watch this show, please, please do so. You won’t regret it. The messages and lessons they teach, the acceptance and representation they show, and the overwhelming yet complicated beautiful story will keep you on your toes and always wanting more. The art style is unique with gorgeous scenery, reminding me of watercolors. Character growth and development throughout the show was spectacular, although I did wish more for Claudia since she was one of my favorites from the beginning.
This show has meant so much to me throughout the years, and to now have it finally be done feels a little surreal. I cried many times over, and definitely got hit with a punch when they shared Leola’s Last Wish. It’ll help you heal parts of yourself you may or may not know is there.
I can not vouch for this show enough, and although I have a lot I want to discuss and share I also want to keep it spoiler free in hopes people find this message and give this amazingly wonderful show a chance. Even if you don’t like animated series much, you will be surprised by how moving this show is. It gets very dark at times and even makes you wonder if it was really meant for kids, so don’t knock it til you try it. I promise it’ll be worth the time.
And if you have seen the wonderful series Avatar the Last Airbender or The Legend of Korra, you may recognize some familiar names/voices/references because this wonderful show was created/written by the same people. And with a new spin off series called The Dragon King in the works for this series, as well as the highly anticipated Earth Avatar sequel, I am quite excited for the years to come!

👍👍 I watched the first season or two years ago, and liked it a lot! But it hasn't really stuck with me - worldbuilding not as memorable as, say, Avatar.

I love this show sm but I haven’t watched it in agesss- need to catch up.

This is the best DnD-like animated series since Legend of Vox Machina

I’m mad they didn’t put Soren and Corvus together, other than that i absolutely love this show. IT NEEDS SEASON 8 IDC.

The characters and the storyline are really engaging like I was not expecting it to be as good as it was. Also some of the lines hit really hard, it’s honestly really well written. Also the atla and lotr references I love

Was a bit skeptical at the beginning thought it was gonna be like Voltron all over again with a good start and bad ending- BUT I WAS SO WRONG IT WAS SO GOOD AND THE CLIFFHANGER OMG. ALSO TERRY HAS MY HEART AND I ADORE THE TRANS REPRESENTATION
