Just like everything else Nathan has made, this is pushing the boundaries. It blows my mind how he can always be right on the cusp of creative television. The other actors killed it as well. This show is deep and disturbing at every turn. A show that demands a second watch

The Curse
after reading other reviews, i’m realizing how niche the target audience for this show is.
here are my thoughts on why that might be and why it’s still worth watching: someone said it deals with white guilt; i think that is accurate. with that said, it’s difficult to make (1/?)

8.5 - What a bonkers show. It took me a long time to fully lock in, but now that I finished it I want to rewatch it & see if I can pull more interpretations.
It’s a vicious blend of the Safdie’s signature discomfort & Fielder’s signature absurdism & cringe comedy. Stone & Fielder are both excellent.
I don’t think it needs a second season but I know there is conversation of one happening & I would be fascinated to see how that would be approached.

I watched 4 episodes before stopping. Not easy viewing, I had to force myself to keep watching. The show was essentially a compilation of uncomfortable moments where every character tried to outdo eachother to be the most condescendingly cringey person. Great performances though.

I loved this in a way that I haven’t experienced anything else quite like this with the endless uncomfy feelings of unease and dread. Nothing during the season could have prepared me for the ending. This show was brilliant and awkwardly funny in such a sad way. Acting is top tier

Everything about this show is haunting?? Dark? Funny? Mysterious? Real? True? Weird? I think about it all day and can’t wait for the next episode

I for sure had to force myself to keep watching this. Mainly because I still wasn’t sure what it was that I was watching. At the end of it all, I’m still thinking about it, but with general confusion. Like the show, my emotions for this are complex. Unlike anything I’ve seen.

Probably too slow and weird for most people but I was looking forward to each episode and the last was incredible. Emma Stone, Nathan Fielder, Ben Safdie need to collab again. Loved the music and camera angles too. 🥕. Plus no actual ppl were messed with unlike the rehearsal...

I would recommend watching if you’re a Nathan fielder fan, but wouldn’t recommend if you aren’t a fan of him. The show is very complex but also very boring?? You really have to pay attention to understand it. The last episode went over my head & left me with a lot of questions

Such an ODD show, consists of a ton of satire and messaging. The finale took a HUGE left turn. Definitely not a show for everyone but it had me laughing and cringing.

I watched 3 episodes and still have no connection to the character. Big fan of Nathan’s shows, major letdown from this one.

I watched one episode, kept waiting for anything to happen or for it to become less weird /cringe but wtf?

I’m torn with this, barely a 👍🏻. I like weird stuff but this just didn’t come full circle for me. I love how uncomfortable it is and that most every character is flawed but no storyline gets resolved and it lags a lot. It’s a cool ending but super unclear as to its intention
