You need a shower after watching this, because you can smell the docks and soot, mud, and blood. But my man Tommy is a masterpiece here.
And Ms. Chaplin may be one of the most beautiful actresses ever.
Brutal and beautiful is how I’d explain this show.

I've watched this series just for Tom Hardy. I don't regret it one bit!

My parents loved it, I enjoyed it but it didn’t feel particularly special or interesting compared to other shows in this genre. I think it’s cool it’s a project Tom Hardy wrote with his dad, but it just didn’t do much for me.

i’m so mad that this was boring. i was so freaking bored. the only silver linings for me are the performances from the entire cast and the commitment to creating the grimiest, dirtiest looking sets i’ve ever seen. disappointed honestly. :(

Don't catch my attention. I watched the first episode and a little the second.

Taboo pulled me right into 1810s London—the mud, the grime, the danger felt real. The atmosphere is phenomenal, and the story is just as captivating. It’s a rare show that blends world-building and entertainment so perfectly. Tom Hardy at his best.

6/10- the title says it all

It’s a shame this was only one series, I would definitely have watched more.
