Star Wars: The Bad Batch

As a huge Clone Wars fan, this show makes me so happy and frustrated at the same time. The concepts presented here are fantastic, but it doesn’t focus on its good stuff nearly enough. Yet, this show has so many fun moments that I can’t dislike it overall either. It’s just decent.

The first season was amazing! I didn’t develop as much of an attachment to season 2, but it was still a solid watch. Narrative felt a little disconnected (in my opinion) for S2. Either way, I’m excited for a third season.

OKAY HEAR ME OUT: This one just kinda felt like the bad batch were background characters IN THEIR OWN SHOW. Also the clones are hella whitewashed and it makes it hard to enjoy

Season 3: I’m so disappointed that all we got was a simple ‘we stopped it’. I wish we’d have been able to see a bit more into the evil plans of the emperor and the greater result of his power. To employ a team with bottomless funds is a big thing, and I think we should have seen more of it.

Overall, the appearance of fan favourite characters was a nice touch. Really made the series feel integrated with the wider Star Wars universe. However it lacked what the first season did so well; create an aspect of mystique and wonder upon Clone Force 99.

I mostly loved watching it and I’m rather upset that the series has ended.
