Not too bad. Binged it over break. Mainly watched it for Magnus and Alex though 😂 Give it a watch if you need some entertainment.

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE SHOW. I LOVE THIS SHOW WITH MY WHOLE ENTIRE BEING. I sobbed when I finished and I’ve been rewatching for actual years. It’s a contrast from the books and the movie BUT I definitely recommend this with my whole heart. My babies😭😭😭😭

I really did not like this show. Having read the books I expected this to be very similar. However it was so different that it wasn’t even enjoyable. Characters were drastically changed with the original books. Dorthia, in the books, is an older neighbor who is a witch, in this show she is a young woman who is close friends with Clary and her mother. Luke is a close friend of Clary and her mother in the book who owns a store. In this show they have randomly made him into a police officer. In the books, Valentine has extremely like blonde hair and is not introduced as the antagonist right away. In this series they essentially turned him into a mob boss. The acting was generally bad overall as well. The female lead came off as whiny and insufferable and is nothing like how she is portrayed in the books. I DNFd this series in Season 1 due to just how different it was from the book series. This show should not have tried to say it was tied to the books when the only things that were really the same were the character names and that they hunt demons. It would have been better to separate itself and be something new instead. I would not recommend this series to anyone especially not someone who has read the books and enjoyed them.
