RWBY: Ice Queendom

while I understand this is more of an alternative scenario in the RWBY universe and not an adaptation, I still wasn’t a fan of it. the animation is fun, and the concepts introduced ARE interesting (I think if said concepts were in the original, that it could be a great way to flesh out the characters even more). unfortunately the execution of it in this anime, especially the pacing, is so bad🥴 several episodes go by with just about no progression, then all of a sudden you’re at the final episode. I wish I enjoyed this, it’s so cool to see RWBY get an anime! however it deserved better than this shallow work

I loved the animation, but it’s a what if scenario for an already fantastic show. I think it had many cool elements and important messages they tried to convey, and had an interesting plot to diverge from the actual series!!
However, I did have complaints on how they depicted the characters, the pacing/sudden added elements that weren’t explained until later on (leaving me very confused throughout many episodes), and the way the ending wrapped up. Overall, I enjoyed my time, and it’s not a bad addition, but don’t expect any canon lore from this spin off😅
