heartbreaking and empowering. i watched the original series as a teen and this is another faithful adaptation. i think everyone should watch this at least once

The miniseries is really good but very sad. It is even more sad that this is just a picture on screen of what actually happened years ago. The hate they got and how they weren't free, insults and beats they got even though they were all people is very disturbing.

The original 1977 miniseries is much better. More detail, emotion, and the story. Very impactful but not like the original.
