Liked Gladiator? You’ll love Rome. I have watched both seasons ~4 times. Among the best prestige series ever made. Cast is awesome, the story moves briskly, and it’s fun while being reasonably true to history. One of my top five shows ever. SPQR.

Loved this, such a realistic version of Rome, basically game of thrones with Romans shame it didn’t get more seasons. I wouldn’t expect much massive battles but the politics and characters are some of the best I’ve seen

Absolutely stellar show with amazing production. A real shame it didn’t get a true proper ending.. But it ended as well as it could’ve considering all the sets burnt down, and the funding problems.. Highly recommend to anyone who likes history or GOT.
