Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV Reviews

30 minutes in, and I'm balling lakes of tears from both eyes. It doesn't matter who or what a kid is. They are innocent lives that have no idea about anything but the role models around them. The way Dan is only one of a billion makes me want to throw up my whole body. So many of these people were my role models as a kid, and now these people are role models for a totally different reason. I can only imagine how every single cast and crew member felt because my body is in pain from the amount of anger and helplessness I feel. An excellent documentary that makes you want to stop thinking.

Show was trash. Too much yapping/complaining from everyone. Also why are we just blaming Dan like there weren’t hundreds of Adults there seeing this and doing absolutely nothing to stop it? Cancel culture is so one sided, and this cringefest of a show proves it. Lame ahh show💀

Wow, this was a tough but worthy watch. I've read Jeanette McCurdy's book, and my heart goes out to these former child/teen stars. It's awful learning about the horrors behind the scenes of your favorite childhood shows, but I'm glad the victims could finally share their stories.

I feel weird giving something so sad a “love” but this was a well told story about very unfortunate and traumatic situations many young actors went through

Wow… This Doc Series changed the way I looked at my childhood. It’s crazy how I grew up and watched these shows and loved them so much, now knowing that going on behind the scenes these people are being abused physically and mentally. 3 Episode was a Bomb Drop 😳 Season 1, 10/10

I feel like a few examples they touched on were stretches and the adults were putting a darker spin on something that really wasn’t bad, especially when perceived by the eyes and mind of a child

They do however touch on actual deplorable things that I believe warrant a watch

I grew up watching these shows on Nick, and now as an adult realizing all of the stuff that flew over my head when I was younger is astounding. It’s not easy to come forward and speak about being assaulted as a child, but these actors have definitely opened eyes and ears. 9/10

I cried watching those last two episodes. Being a kid in the early 2000’s and having some of these Nickelodeon shows raise me, it just hits differently. It’s a really brutal doc, and I commend everyone for speaking out; it’s just heartbreaking

Disturbing. Maddening. Tragic. I feel so sad for the child actors who were exploited. What greed does to people, especially those in power, is sinful. I don’t see this type of exploitation stopping any time soon. Our entire way of living and being would have to drastically change

absolutely devastating for these kids. and absolutely infuriating (as a survivor of SA, myself) how these predatory men got away with their actions then and continue to do so now.

overall i did really enjoy this show. it did a good job covering all the bases, factual, emotional, etc. it made sure to note that no matter how realistic and how obviously allegations were true, it is all still named alleged. very mature.

I wasn’t blown away by this. Yes Hollywood people are pedophiles, but I think I was mislead on what this was about. I was under the impression that Dan Schneider was a pedophile, but he was just misogynistic.

it really puts insight about all the shows that i watched when i was younger, it shows the unforgivable bad stuff, but i can still watch the shows remembering that the actors/actresses would want me to enjoy it rather than be sad about it

I like that people are able to tell their stories but this show was way too political for me. The dialogue is so drawn out and repetitive that it was like watching the same episode 5 times.

honestly a hard one to rate. i’m not gonna say i love it because it was genuinely disturbing to hear, but i can’t give it a like either because theres so much more to be said that wasn’t addressed. i know for legal reasons not everything could’ve been shared though.
