Good follow up/prequel for Outlander but might be confusing if you're watching for the first time

I love everything in this show!!! The music, the costumes and more importantly the DIALECT

It was just so close and repeated from outlander, I just felt like everything was so scripted and just had no new clever ideas. I didn’t actually finish it tho, so maybe that was the problem? But definitely couldn’t get hooked to it
