Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story Reviews

I really liked it, until I looked into the actual facts after watching and realised they had really gone full in on things that were just theories.. It feels like they didn't bullshit that much in past seasons.

I couldn’t finish it. I thought it ended, then suddenly TWO MORE EPISODES. Babe, enough. It’s not bad, the acting and costumes are great, but it moves at the speed of a Victorian funeral. You need patience, brain cells, and probably a snack break. And a bottle of vodka.

it’s a novel, not a true crime series

I was so scared I was gonna be in enemy territory here. This was so ded. Like “meh” is the right expression. I feel like good ole liz wasnt even the main character here I think it was a Victorian drama. And who the heck even picked this story! Trus there r worse female monsters🫣

Not focused on accuracy, just whatever story they wish to tell. The acting and scene development is good but I couldn't help but hear ed gein Everytime the dad talked. Netflix could've done better. (Overall: 4/10)

I had no idea who this person was so I enjoyed the story - true or not. The acting by the woman who played Aileen Wournos was so good I couldn’t tell if it was actual footage of her or not. Also enjoyed the acting by the father - who also played Ed Gein. Lots of gore and lesbian

Eh - I understand the reasoning for the 2 stories - but wasn’t my favorite. Hopefully next time they pick a storyline that has more to it. Aileen wuornos would have been enough to explore her thinking and mindset behind her murders.

This shit was so ass. Everything like the puking was so fake. Some facts/storyis not true AT ALL. It’s all dramatized. Nothing reports Lizzie was fruity. I don’t get the wlw thing. The modern music that’s picked feels off for the theme of the show. So bad, I couldn’t watch it all

I think they are just amazing, all 4 of them. I really hope they continue making them.

I didn’t finish Ed Gein. And I won’t finish this. The show itself isn’t terrible, but the fact that Ryan Murphy is distorting the truth of who these people are to sensationalize the story and connect them to other serial killers is awful. There’s so much mistruth that I just can’t get past.

truly the worst thing i’ve ever watched. couldn’t even get through the second episode. didn’t think it could get any worse but then the projectile vomiting came.

as much as I liked it, it’s probably the worst out of the whole Monster series. It’s very short and I don’t think you could really call Lizzie Borden a serial killer

The worst of the series. I wouldn't really consider her a serial killer compared to the others... best parts are the before and after, as the killing part is really meh. The quality and execution is there, I just don't know why they would make a series out of her...

The story probably could have ended by episode 6. I understand that there were a lot of connections to Lizzie Borden, but it didn’t always seem like she was the main character of this.
