I saw the De Niro and Pfeiffer biopic and this gives it so much more depth.. I truly felt for the couple at the end but like the husband says “I don’t like the law but I can’t think of a better solution”

It feels wrong to love a series that is about pain and the destruction of many people’s lives, but I loved how well it was put together combining insightful interviews along with actors portraying many key characters to clearly explain how Madoff pulled it off.

Hard to watch the government fuck up so badly

So many failures. He could’ve been caught so many times. And what happened to his family is unfortunate. Ultimately, this is a tale of luck and incompetence.

Interesting. I didn’t know a lot about the scandal other than the outline. What I retain is how SEC failed to investigate and that more than once. When it’s too good to be true, it’s fraud.
