Love in the Moonlight

Before I start off my lil rant, I’ll just say that I don’t fault people for liking this and this review is not meant as an attack if you love it. This is MY opinion and if you loved it, that’s great. Different strokes for different folks and all that. Also there’s spoilers at the end of this review, but I think I marked them pretty well. So read with caution ig xdd

I have so much to say about this show. I don’t think I’ve ever been as blindsided by reviews in my life. Thought it was gonna be a really heart wrenching period drama. It is definitely a period drama but I wouldn’t call it heart wrenching. I’m a person that cries extremely easily, so I spent a lot of time mentally preparing for this show. This was not needed. What I thought was gonna be a traumatic watch ended up traumatic in a different way. I shed one tear during the entire show.

What started as a good premise just ended up becoming boring, repetitive and nonsensical at times.

I’m not saying it’s horrible, bc it’s not, but it certainly didn’t live up to the expectations I had set. Which I will admit is partly my fault. This is more a dramatic romcom (not that I remember ever laughing) than the dramatic tragedy I thought it was gonna be. I liked a lot about this show other than the frankly weird plot and the bad audio at certain parts. The acting was good despite the script, good chemistry between characters and the costumes were nice. 4/10

WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT ENDING? I understand forgiving people and all, but MY GUY your dad tried to KILL SASIN??!! Did you forget?? How come they just decided to forget about everything at the end? Like why did the entire show revolve around them having the move money bc of the new leader and then the dad just ends up joining them in the end? Like excuse me? The last episode ruined everything completely for me and I wouldn’t be as upset if they had just left forever instead of coming back.

Two of my favorite characters ended up being Inthra and his wife because they were a nice change of pace whenever they came up on screen. So ofc they had to kill him. IN FRONT OF HIS POOR WIFE. It was the only part I ended up crying at bc mans just wanted his coin like literally every other grown ass man in this show, but noooo, he had to get stabbed for it. Very glad my girly got her revenge in the end tho. My power couple. Loved them. May they rest in peace. I know she didn’t die on screen but my head canon is that she jumped in front of a train or something, and that they’re rolling in cash wherever dead people end up.

Love it. I was tear.🥹

Absolutely in love it made me so happy will in fact watch again
