it was ok, they didn't play the original games and it shows

acting is questionable but it’s nostalgic

The only thing they took from the games are the names of the characters; do not expect anything faithful. Its plot is hard to keep up with and very forgettable

Do not watch this. Do not let Amazon think we like this through its views. This must be stopped. This is not a good adaptation. This is not Like A Dragon. Never again.

This show is based on a video game series under the name “Yakuza” or “Like a dragon”

The story resolves around what you could say is Yakuza 0/Yakuza kiwami from the game series but in its own way.

If you’re learning about the series from this show it’s not the best piece of media to get you into the series, for 6 episodes this show felt very short and some big names from the games wasted really early on.

If this show does get a second season which I’d give about a 50/50 chance. I hope they have more than 6 episodes to give more screen time to each character to flesh them out and make you care at least a little bit for them.

If not, well they had their chance.
