As an Octavia Butler fan I’ve got to say that this is not the Kindred I know. They took so many liberties with the story that it felt like a hollow interpretation. If I watch it as its own thing it’s just okay. The pacing of the show is terrible and it’s hard to feel connected

this show is amazing!!!!! unfortunately it was canceled (I think it was because of Covid if I remember correctly) but they really need to continue cuz it was amazing

now this was an amazing show. i was initially bored in episode 1 and annoyed by kevin, i won’t lie lmaoo but the plot slowly got more complex and as a black women myself, truly resonated with me. i wasn’t expecting to be so invested, mad disappointing that’s its over.

Diana really made me mad. Girl u can’t save people in a world where they don’t want them to be saved. She needs to be realistic, theres nothing she can do and she just needs to deal with it cause her interference made it worse.

Started watching this because of the book. This show is very different from the book. It has a weird combo on 1970s and current times that doesn’t blend well for me.

Amazing. So addicting I immediately started reading the book after the first season. It is violent, dark, and sad but it's interesting and captivating with light moments.
