I hate that this wasn’t approved for a third season like the writer planned. Such an incredible idea and important story, but it was very clunky at the end since she had to wrap it up so quickly. Incredible work for Armstrong’s first series.

I like the mix between sitcom and drama, you really start to hate Kevin and get to see the other side of the characters when they’re not in the sitcom version anymore.

LOVE THIS SHOW SO COOL! it took me a minute to get into it but its so engaging and i love the plot! the idea of how sitcom characters would be perceived if they were real people was always interesting to me so it was cool to see it shown

The way this show is filmed is genius. Shows the damage of people like Kevin who are funny in sitcoms but terrible in real life. She ate this role up, showed the range of her skill so well. Kinda wish she followed through on her first idea but he brought everything on himself.

Didn’t finish. It’s an awesome concept but then the writing just gets mundane and tiring. Feels like any other sitcom, and you can’t help but feel like screaming at the MC to just make better decisions.

Extremely slow, fails first plan, second plan works but she comes back and tries to divorce him WHEN SHE KEPT SAYING DIVORCE WAS TOO DIFFICULT!cool concept yet wasn’t built into the plot well, could have had more rules that come with the sitcom world (free will). pointless ending

I will admit I didn’t finish it, but I just couldn’t get sold on the characters and their decisions. Didn’t really care if any one succeeded or failed.

It was pretty good at first, but slowly started to dislike it over time. The characters are just not likable to me, and I don’t like glamorizing cheating culture. Only watched the first episode then my boyfriend and I decided we were done.

wanted to love this but couldn’t. there were some funny moments but generally felt like i was forcing myself to keep watching. will always love annie murphy though.

This is a bold series that brilliantly deconstructs all the ways women can feel “stuck” while exploring toxic relationships, societal norms, autonomy and agency. Annie Murphy’s performance is incredible. The style shifts between multi-camera comedy and gritty drama are genius. It might have been better suited as a limited series, but it’s an all-around fantastic, thought-provoking watch.

Characters were hard for me to root for & most of this premise is wobbly. At every turn, Patty and Allison had near-misses with the law and I kept thinking: “you haven’t actually committed any crime yet. Call this off, you weenies.” The P&A friendship was the only bright spot.

Difficult and a little confusing getting into it at first but once you realize what it’s really about, why it’s like that and all the unspoken things it becomes such a masterpiece of a show and it’s definitely so interesting as a viewer

Super interesting concept, but the story just didn't hit for me.

This movie brought out my depression.

started out dragging my feet to keep watching and the next thing i knew i was glued to the screen - at first the switch between the 2 different styles kept throwing me off but as the series went on it became nearly seamless as you watch things play out… i’d definitely recommend
