The 1990 Pennywise works through unease, not spectacle. Tim Curry feels disturbingly ordinary, almost real. The film builds fear through atmosphere, childhood realism, and anticipation. It whispers instead of screaming, and that lingers.

so good for how old and low budget it was. i think the first half was significantly better than the second. pennywise looks like absolute terror half the time. and he acts like a little shit
