Underwhelming

[1] I get that various directors worked on each ep which is pretty cool HOWEVER it felt super underwhelming because of the bad writing despite the good acting and casting (ｰ̀⤙ｰ́ )

couldn't stand the new actor for nanno. becky just didn’t fit the role at all. her voice was way too soft for a character who's supposed to be a literal entity of karma. she didn’t have that iconic creepy laugh like kitty chicha did either

the eps also completely sucked. the only one that didn't flop was ep 2 with the volleyball team and that upskirting creep peck getting humbled on mother's day. that one actually felt like classic gfn revenge but the others were an absolute waste of time. the whole season felt sloppy

honestly, if kitty couldn't do the show anymore for whatever reasons, then they shouldn’t have tried to recast it or make a reboot because this is exactly what happens. becky didn’t land the role at all and it didn't help that the storyline didn't even support her character's new direction. should've just left it alone smh

i hate how sexualized Nanno was in this season, i get it is a big issue but for her not being sexualized in Girl from Nowhere it was unnecessary. Second i love Becky’s acting but she really didn’t have that dark Nanno feel like with chica, i want to be unnerved and uncomfortable.

I believe it overlooks the genuine significance of Nanno’s actions, but Becca was indeed fine.
Gotta watch the original now to reconnect with Nanno.

I didn’t watch the original so idk how good compared to it this one is. But like the first episode was really good to be then I kinda became worse as it went on to become better in the end.

It’s okay overall. Nothing crazy, nothing spectacular but it isn’t horrible either.
If I watched this without watching the original perhaps I’d enjoy it more.
This version of Nanno lacked that brutality that the og one had. Will be tuning in for season 2 tho.
