If the original FLCL series was your favorite local punk band, Progressive is the soulless album they release attempting to relive their big, crowd pleasing hits, without any continued creativity after they sold out and signed to a major label.

Very good anime. The first anime I watched in a long time. Watched in 2022 in dub. Rewatched this year in sub. Still one of my favorites

The art is good, and the music is phenomenal, but I have no idea what’s going on with the plot. AND HOLY AGE GAP

impressive in every regard, super wacky and pretty fun. definitely dense and chaotic, i can tell that comprehension was not a priority of the creators. some gorgeous animation with awesome music and a strong narrative, enjoyable enough and worth the ride

The beautiful parodical disgusting world of FLCL is one of my favorites from anime. It latches onto your heart as we see these events unfolds for such likable characters. It strays into such absurd territory, that it stamps a mark on anime forever with such quality.
