The government failed them. The corporations that owned both hospitals failed them. Leaders of the hospital failed them by not having proper emergency plans. And all of that caused the deaths that happened there. And they all should own up to it even the ones on their high horses

That was CRAZY. the first five episodes were buildup for the last episodes. GOT ME CRYIN. I’ve been emotional all the last episodes and confused about who is right and who is wrong. I hope no one experience what happened in Memorial again.

as someone who grew up outside of new orleans and saw the aftermath of hurricane katrina, this was interesting. some of the episodes especially towards the end were a bit slow though.

i’m not big on conspiracy theories but there’s a lot about hurricane katrina that i believe are a big true now that i’ve seen this series.

Seriously? How can they deny that the patients were LITERALLY administered morphine and that other drug. I don’t know… it’s horrible that she, they all, denied the truth. But all medical personnel were so strong and such fighters.

I’ve been wanting to watch this for a while and finally did it. it was truly heartbreaking what happened in that hospital. this is definitely a time where lines get blurred not everything is black and white

Great show but the last episode threw me off. Earlier they said they run out of water and yet they found water inside the hospital on the last episode. Was it planted? Did they not get enough out before the basement flooded? And in a previous episode the lady that was in the airforce in charge of the helicopter pad said the coast guard couldn’t fly at night, then in the last episode another dr said they were. I heard from someone else someone nearly fell off the roof and it was too dangerous at night but I don’t remember any of that from the show. There is too much left unexplained. Also the boats were a mix of volunteers and national guard from memory. So why couldn’t the volunteers keep coming after 5pm to evacuate everyone? Or why couldn’t they be evacuated the next day, why did they have to be out of the building by 5pm?? That’s when the government decided to abandon them, but not the volunteers or corporate. 🤯

Crazy look into that aftermath of the hurricane that devastated so much of Nola, brings a really good moral question to health care

The way everyone failed Memorial was heartbreaking. It’s impossible to think what one would’ve done in that situation and it’s painful to see that doctors, nurses, and the rest of the medical staff are still seen as objects and not real, breathing people.
