Haven’t finished it, but I’m confident in giving it a big thumbs DOWN. *this is a very biased opinion as I’ve read every summer after and one golden summer. If you’ve never read either and want to watch this show, it’s a good show that you’ll probably enjoy. If you’ve read the books, best of luck 😂
It’s something about these authors ruining their books when they’re offered deals to have them made into movies/shows. I understand why they changed the title to Every Year After because baby ain’t a damn thing about this show except for the names of the characters the same as the book. I’m talking DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT. It’s bad, horrible even. Worst book to show/movie adaption I’ve ever watched. I thought all the people reviewing this were being dramatic until I started watching. Nope. I’m not being dramatic. It’s horrible.
Also, the casting for adult Pers, Sam and Charlie were terrible. I really hope Rebecca Yarros is paying attention cause giiiiiiiiiirl. And to carley, girl, if you plan on doing one golden summer, just don’t.

couldn’t even get through the whole first episode and i know im probably jumping the gun with not continuing but i felt like it was ruining one of my favorite books ever. half the characters looked like teenagers trying to act like almost 30 year olds. reread the book it is

Bro I watched this in three days. I am distraught. Brb while I go through the 5 stages of grief. I felt so bad for Sam that I cried during the finale. Once I was done, I had to talk about this show with everyone I knew.
Favorite episode: Ep.1 Flashback scenes.

Wtf. On again. Off again. In. Out. Up. Down. Pick a team. Don’t be a baby. Love and Lust. Past and present. God. Just- if she wasn’t so emotional with everything, took the rose tinted glasses off the first time something happened, maybe things would’ve been smoother at the wake.
