Exceptional, quickly became one of my favorites. Sometimes it felt like they weren’t giving us (the audience) enough clues to figure out the mystery, but it didn’t bother me too much because watching Morse solve it was so entertaining.

Didn’t finish but solid detective show. Will come back

9/10 this show is an absolute masterpiece. Not only was each mystery captivating and complex, but the underlying story each season was masterful. This show hurts you in the best way because it feels so raw and real. No character is morally black-and-white, but that’s how life is.

Sucker for detective shows, and I appreciate that all the characters have a good moral compass for the most part. Good story about someone trying to find meaning.

Very good detective series, similar to Sherlock.

Like Grantchester in that it’s a mid-century police procedural set in Oxford, but it has higher aesthetic and dramatic pretensions that it more or less hits. Also similar to Madmen as you see careers unfolding over a decade. The televisual equivalent of a warm bath.
