Really enjoyed this despite some outlandish plot points. A terrific watch for wannabe wine dorks. Highly recommend with a different glass of wine paired with each episode so you too can declare the preposterously complex aromas and characteristics of each glass.
S2 update: Substantially different vine than s1 and a bit uneven, but still holds up and includes some unexpected storytelling moments

Camille is just like her father and it’s a good thing she realized that in the second season. I liked it a lot but the first one was still better

4.8 - Finished because I’m a completionist, but I don’t know if I could have been less interested in a drama.
It’s very competently made. From what I have learned this is based on a very long Manga, & to trim it down to this length is reasonably impressive. There’s tight dialogue, decent emotion, & high quality camera work. And the acting is solid throughout. And I actually really love the constant flow from French to Japanese to English & the intermixing of cultures.
But the story is so silly. So contrived. The “world” being this gripped over a ridiculous & self-aggrandizing inheritance transfer for a wine-rater is just absurd. And every dramatic or emotional beat, every twist was so cliched & telegraphed I couldn’t help but roll my eyes on multiple occasions. And that’s not even getting into how little I care about the world of wine.
If you are (or want to be) a wine-snob & like cheap drama, then give this a watch. You’ll love it. But otherwise, skip it. Not surprised at all this never caught social fire.

Definitely a show you'll want to binge. It was really good despite calling out all the rediculous creative liberties they took with identifying the wines 😆
