4.5/5 Fantastic anime that portrays grief from two different perspectives, one older and one younger. A complex - yet simple - coming of age story that explores themes of identity and queerness through beautiful metaphors such as the desert versus the ocean. HIGHLY recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about this one. I think everyone should watch it. It’s beautiful and poignant and intentional and emotional. I cried multiple times, but it was so impactful. It became very important to me very quickly.

Real problems, real stories, real dilemmas, real doubts, real grief, real loneliness, everything about this anime is so real 😭 honestly the best anime about being human
