Great series, cast was perfect for the young versions. Don’t get why people gave this a bad rep, fits into Dexter perfectly

loved the original so I thought I would give this over a whirl. it's crazy how much these throw back characters look like their adult counterparts.

Some of the actors are a miss. But overall pretty good. definitely interesting seeing more from certain characters that didn’t play the biggest role in the main show or any role at all .

I mean its nothing fantastic but it scratches the Dexter itch

The guy playing Masuka did the laugh insanely good, Batista’s young actor was like spot on and the girl playing deb nailed it because I was annoyed with her character just as much as in the original

The ending wasn’t absolutely awful like the other two shows but I feel like it could have set up the new show a bit

This was an enjoyable watch. I liked the guy who played Dexter, the other characters were meh. It was directed the same in that you hear voiceovers for Dexter's thoughts, and everything that makes Dexter, Dexter is somehow brought into the show. The ending wasn't bad, I can't be mad at it cuz it's all part of the story leading up the to the original. Most of the holes that are left untold in the original are covered in here, it's worth a watch if you love Dexter. Overall, pretty solid

Side note- I couldn't stand the soundboard bite noise from the intro, wtf is that

It was just the perfect prequel to the OG Dexter series, at the start I did not think I would love it but it grew on me. Some of the characters were played horribly like harry and sometimes Debra but overall it felt nostalgic and was damn good

Liked it but didn’t finish it.

I genuinely thought they somehow reversed the aging process and it was Michael C. Hall as young Dexter. The actor was sooooo good, it really felt like Dexter’s origin story.

This didn’t really feel like it had to be made, while it was interesting to see Dex slowly refine his MO, nothing was new; It had all been covered in the main show.
Christian Slater is a good actor, but it was a bit too far away from the original actor of Harry, to the point it was hard to stay immersed

It was rough to start watching but when you’re watching it’s pretty good. New blood was way better. Was hoping to wrap it all up but looks like they are gonna milk it for all they can. Dexter actor doesnt really fit. Felt like more of a task to watch than being excited to watch.

a very good prequel series. the casting was absolutely perfect. the last few episodes really fulfilled people's wish for a brian spin-off. im glad we got some of his background aswell, it really helps understanding his character better.

Boring

It’s really good! The actors caught a lot of the mannerisms of the original actors, and it was pretty good to see the backstory… I still love the original best so far!

Probably my least favorite of the series. It was okay.
