so good yet so traumatizing

I woke up at 8AM to a message from my friend telling me to watch this show. Before noon, I had already written my review of the show. It is a depressing show that shows the temptations of devils corrupting the world.

Lots of suicide, nudity, and seggs. The ending was confusing but sorta made sense?? Kinda sad towards the ending. The animation style is kinda gross imo and we barely get background info on the characters. Overall I think its worth a watch to see what people talk about.

8/10; very good anime.

this show affected me on a level i would’ve thought to be impossible given its length & seemingly shallow premise

there’s a lot to be said about the themes of this show; they’re both broad & personal — deeply impactful

i applaud the writers, artists, musicians, and producers

Makes no sense, its actually hilarious how little sense it makes. The decisions that the characters make are stupid and illogical. Plot isnt good. If you're into gore....knock yourself out...

Watched 1 ep and couldn’t even finish it. Horror anime’s arent my thing, so if you do happen to like horror this is for you. Netflix has made this specific anime, so the art style is basically not it. 0/10

Started watching on Netflix and thought it was a comedy. I truly should’ve read the synopsis. It was really good in my opinion, but I was VERY caught off guard since I went into it expecting the opposite of what I got :’)

It made no sense to me tbh

Some of the jankiest stylized animation I’ve ever seen, to a distracting degree. It got better by episode 10, and overall had a 90s vibe. I can see where it influenced a lot of other anime and stories, so credit where credit is due, but it didn’t draw me in like so many others.

Too much unnecessary nudity and gore. Over sexualization of minors is pretty common in anime, which is unfortunate, but this show is worse than most. The plot wasn’t that interesting and none of the characters were that appealing. Akira’s devilman form looked really cool tho.

I have so many mixed feelings about this. I had so much anger toward the ending of the anime. I also hated that toward the first few episodes there was a lot of mature scenes, but it does get toned down the more episodes it goes. There is most definitely a lot of nudity.(1)
