This show was kind of a guilty pleasure, I hated the fan service but I did like some of the plot and characters. I don’t see a lot of story lines where the girl is the beast and the guy still falls for her.

Literally just the messed up kid of Evangelion and gurren lagan, no clue why its so hyped up

This show is one of the most interesting, beautiful and intricate shows I’ve ever watched. But it takes such a major plot 180 so late into the show that I feel like someone completely threw the authors original ending in the garbage and wrote a different one at the last second.

the fanservice is horrendous and the main character is bland. people only watch the show for zerotwo or whatever her name is and she is mediocre to say the least.

i love love so i was always going to be a huge fan of this show. i definitely believe in the existence of one’s soulmate and i think this show encapsulates that very well

this show is very similar to evangelion, but if anything it’s more palatable because it focuses on the love theme so much, which i obviously enjoyed

loved the theme of humanity vs eternity. i kind of see it as human beings have conquered evolution and achieved immortality, which brings indescribable consequences. when you achieve something like that you give up things you never knew were possible to give up, and you find yourself desiring to go back to the way it was before. it’s such an interesting idea, and this show processes it very well. telling a story as complex as that is never easy, but i think they did it in a way everyone could understand

i loved the ending, and i’m very surprised the vast majority of people don’t agree with me. i think it was the best possible outcome given the circumstances, and i love the idea of a love that transcends lifetimes

of course, i have my gripes with this show, but they feel too insignificant to mention. i want this review to show how much i appreciated the story that they told, because it truly is beautiful
