The story telling is a 10/10. I binged it all in one night and the cinematography and acting was really well done. It’s a nice and somewhat easy watch as some hard topics are there but they’re told in a kid friendly way id say. But it’s heartwarming

It was good. Had really good insights to black culture. Low key had a feeling that the mom was racist but I get that the parents didn’t understand stand a lot of the stuff he saw and understood.

I personally don’t like Colin Kaepernick. He calls himself a civil rights activist but I think he’s just mad about getting fired from the NFL. The show would be a love if they didn’t have boring Adult Colin monologues at the beginning and ends of the episodes.
He compared the slave trade to the NFL combine. I think that is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen. NFL players are getting paid millions of dollars and they don’t have to try out if they don’t want to.
The kid version of Colin is a privileged crybaby who hides behind the excuse of being oppressed.
I do think that it highlights that racism can come in many different forms. I think that was handled well.
I enjoyed the show itself, but not the real life story behind it.
I think that it is a good watch for athletes struggling to get college offers.
