Clevatess

5/10 Heard a lot of good things about this series so I checked it out. Had an interesting start and a fairly interesting story but definitely one that’s been kinda done before. It was good but started losing interest halfway through and got a bit generic and predictable at times where I just would get that feeling that I was watching one of those seasonal anime that I would forget about next week. They also barely explored the world building and lore within the story and sometimes didn’t explain things well. I’m not sure I’ll check out the next season as it’s taking a completely different turn than the first seasons story but the animation especially for the last fight was really good! And the ending song is fantastic.

Feels a little harsh giving this a meh but I just wasn’t that captivated by it. It has a compelling story idea that I think is hindered by too much mystery. They throw too much lore and information at you that you’re never able to make sense of. In addition to that I felt the pacing was a little off. I can’t exactly explain why but there was mini arcs throughout that could’ve been wrapped up a lot quicker than the four or five episodes they took. The finale felt a little lackluster as I don’t they did a good job establishing the stakes of it all. I would probably watch a second season though.

I got bored but it’s not bad

I meant to watch this show an ep per week but when I finished on the same day as I started I wanted more. The action is great and it's not your usual demon lord too. Awesome fantasy, with a cool hero twist. Fast paced anime, just as I like it. Must watch show, thank me later.
