Central Park

Amazing show. The singers are WONDERFUL. I got chills during some songs. The writers really put their whole badussy into this ❤️

S1 was an absolute delight but I did not feel the same at all about S2. With a few exceptions, overall the quality of the music and singing took a fairly distinct nosedive, and the main story arc just drug on and on.

That said, I’m starting S3 in hopes that it brings back some of the S1 sparkle.

Update: Hopes squashed. S3 was even more boring with worse tunes than S2. A couple
fun storylines but this just really lost lustre steadily over the run.

Rating: 7.7/10

A wholesome and melodious show about family stewardship and community protection, with great music and charming animation.

Highlights
- Heartwarming Story: A family sticks together to protect their home and community.
- Great Characters: Leslie Odom Jr. and Stanley Tucci shine as Owen and Bitsy.
- Catchy Music: Broadway-caliber songs that are often joyful and catchy.

Criticisms
- Repetitive Plot: Bitsy's schemes can feel repetitive.
- Cancellation: The show ends on a cliffhanger after Season 3.
- Controversy: Off-screen casting drama and perceived political correctness may distract from the story.

Verdict
Central Park is a well-crafted musical with a strong moral core, worth watching for the music and charming animation, but be aware of the controversy surrounding the show.
