I wanted to love this. Only so much the actors can save, Javier Bardem played a sinister max cady that had charm when needed and was psycho. Amy Adams and Patrick Wilson were a good combo. There was cool and interesting stuff done with the camera and cinematography. But the story just kept dragging on and on, some things became laughable (like the cops just leaving) or predictable. There were some good twists and maybe too maybe, some really worked and some didn’t. For everyone attached and it being a remake I was expecting more and disappointed tbh

I was expecting to feel anything but dismay, considering the big names involved, but sadly, that's all I'm feeling. I wouldn't recommend bingeing it since my head is absolutely aching from how overused, overdone, and overcooked the film techniques and scoring become. I see the old-school vision, and the quality is great, but it just got too unbearable. Performance-wise, it's decent, though the writing seems so odd. It didn't seem like it was relying on plot twists, rather just plot, yet the constant buildup of suspense, which rarely ever ended in satisfaction, tells me differently. All in all, I would have rated it higher had it been a one-and-done, but they just had to end it like they did.

It’s hard to be this disappointed with this cast, direction, and the source material. But it was too slow and there were too many threads.

Stressed me the hell out. Poor writing in my opinion, story was dragged out, soundtrack made me anxious and not in a good way. I literally have a headache after just finishing it. The acting was good though.

How you gonna fumble so hard with a cast like that?! Seemed like the writers forgot a couple plot lines and wrote for people scrolling while watching.

Duas familias malucas. As pessoas ou sao muito burras, fora da realidade ou psicopatas. Se vc gosta disso, sem se irritar com as escolhas ridiculas e personalidades bizarras, nao vai ser perda de tempo.

Fui até o final pelos atores, mas custou minha paciencia.

This was my first exposure to the Cape Fear/Executioners story, and I thoroughly enjoyed every episode! I really appreciated the slow burn because the show took its time with building each character and showing how paranoia and lies can tear people apart. Highly recommend!
