this is so good in so many ways, any review that I could write would be a disservice to this show. there was not a single second wasted. the cinematography, the soundtrack the characterization??! insane 10/10 hope Netflix doesn’t cancel this before season 2

This is one of the most captivating stories I’ve watched. It’s so beautiful in it’s pure, unrelenting emotion. The animation, characters and story were all some of the best I’ve seen in awhile. I highly recommend this masterpiece of a show.

Gorgeous animation. Impeccable writing. Weaving time tastefully and using the historical period to constrain and flaw its characters, you get such a dimensional story. I’m not one for adult animation, so the graphic content was jarring. But if you can stomach it, go for it.
