Batman: Caped Crusader

Man, the woke mob finally got to Gotham City. The concept of this show is worth exploring further, but with the first season, the execution mostly falls short. If you’re going to make BTAS for a more mature audience, then really make it for a more mature audience.

Spectacular

A fantastic iteration of Batman that gives depth to its heroes and villains’ motivations as well as showcasing Gotham as its own character. Really picks up a few episodes in. Batman / Bruce Wayne are clearly at the start of their career as a masked vigilante.

Love to see a more grounded Batman. Actually like the concept that this is a year one Batman in his early days. The story is connected and is t just random episodes. Would watch a season two. 7.2/10.

I don’t mind Batman when he’s grounded, but this show made him feel VERY grounded. Part of what makes Batman a fun watch/read is the fantasy elements, so without that it’s not as intriguing. The new change to Harley Quinn is really nice, though, and the animation is great!

6.5 | pretty solid. love the animation. some awesome character adaptations/changes, some not so great. idk if im being silly but it feels like theres not ENOUGH Batman in this Batman show. anyway, very excited for more.
