I expected a standard Saturday morning cartoon, but its hilarious, sweet take on Gotham’s darkest family completely won me over.
What Worked:
Roth’s sketch style gives the animation a tactile texture that makes the physical comedy land perfectly. Through my Faith Methodism lens, seeing Bruce build a family from former villains beautifully reminds me that true grace means giving second chances. Stump’s score also perfectly balances comedic motifs with classic superhero weight.
The Cuts:
The middle episodes really dragged for me; slice-of-life shenanigans felt like filler stalling the Joker plot. Keeping it spoiler-free, the villain’s master plan felt half-baked, making the resolution feel rushed. Plus, cramming in so many new faces meant the core Bruce and Damian dynamic got sidelined and couldn’t breathe.
Verdict:
A heartwarming spin on the Dark Knight. Perfect for cozy DC vibes, but skip if you want a gritty, brooding Batman.

Has some good and funny moments here and there but I wish it was the true bat family from the comics but the members of the family in this series are fine I guess.
