Based on a True Story Reviews

Brilliantly exploring themes of marriage, friendship, and true crime with excellent performances. The pacing and dialogue are perfect, and the casting is impeccable. Visually pleasing fantasy scenes add to the show's charm.

Good idea for a story. Shouldn’t have made the character pregnant it added exactly nothing to the story and it was weird they never mentioned it. Also relies way too much on fantasies.

i actually didn’t think i was gonna like this show. it ended up being pretty good i would watch another season.

Oh shit

If you like listening to true crime podcasts, you would like this funny version of how they become amateur true crime podcasts and don’t know what they’re doing lol

Im upset that they cancelled it on a really good cliffhanger, but it was a funny and entertaining show.

Not interesting enough

I was so excited about the show because of the actors and the plot but idk something was missing:/

lots of laughs

Just when I was starting to like this guy he had to go and ruin it.

Tried to watch season 2 but didn’t love didn’t love season 1 also

Love this make more!!!

GREAT SHOW, but the ending was meh.

6.5/10

i enjoyed this so much it’s a fun watch, it’s funny, it’s nerve wracking, it’s so well made and well written. personally i always find shows or movies like this predictable but man was this unpredictable for me. i cannot believe that it’s canceled and there is no season 3 tho lol

Loved it!

It’s an interesting premise, season 1 was intriguing but gets totally unbelievable in some points. Might get to season 2? Might not?
