Ahhh the angst!! That reunion made up for everything depressing in this movie!! Had to rewatch that part three times. Loved Anne’s involvement in the war. This one was a really good way to wrap up their story. I enjoyed!

but it was a lot duller than the other two... it felt as if important sequences were just missing between the start of this and the end of the last one

Did they just forget L.M. Montgomery finished the series? War? Spy plot? Anne as a nun? And she just lost all her imagination, agency, & personality? And she’s out here dodging bombs now?? Narratively cursed but lowkey iconic. 3/5 for the sheer audacity.

Really well done

I think this is a very good film. It just doesn’t feel very “Anne” to me. As far as a story goes, this is quite well done and I think it’s a good period war film. But it just doesn’t suit Anne.
