Adventure Time

For a cartoon, this show very accurately depicts the stages of growing up. the main character starts out as a kid trying to save the world but gradually begins to struggle with puberty, relationships, etc. topics can be equally heavy and sweet. definitely recommend.

everything about this show is so good, it’s great at a face level but when you look into the symbolism more it does handle a couple heavy topics. one of my favorite things is how well the romantic tension between bubblegum and marceline is through the show. it’s a nice slow burn

Hell no please don’t

This is one of the best series ever made. It portrays growing up and life’s challenges and changes extremely well. It’s super cute and fun and stressful but also very sad at the same time. I watched this as a kid but I am very glad I watched the entire series as an adult.
