A seminal piece of leftist agitprop. As always with Costa-Gavras, he throws you into this world and leaves you to piece everything together. “Any similarity to real persons and events is not coincidental. It is intentional.” Incredibly audacious, with a slap-in-the-face ending.

We watched this in my first film class ever. I really enjoyed it being in French! Very interesting political thriller based on true events 🫢
