whyyyy. I should've never watched this film it killed me. it's too sad why can't us gay people ever have happy endings. I cried the whole movie, man.

Heart wrenching, yet realistic for its time period. Beautifully filmed, and made me ugly cry

I needed a good cry and I thought this movie was perfect for it. I wasn't wrong but I didn't think that I was gonna end up with this warm feeling as well. beautifully shot, unmatched chemistry between the main characters (the younger ones, I could literally feel how much they loved each other and how difficult it was for them given the circumstances). I didn't expect the end to be like that, I thought it was gonna be nothing but dramatic, so I really liked how everything turned out. it was sad, but hopeful❤️‍🩹

Yearnings final boss. I cried and sobbed. Loved the cinematography, it’s gritty and raw. It’s based on a true story, and it makes it even more gut-wrenching! But the ending is different from the reality. Loved it, watched it 5x and, would watch again.

one of the saddest movies i watched the final scene hit me like a train, but i think that it's a movie for ppl with a bigger emphaty level and understanding of queer history bc ppl I watched it with found it more annoying than sad
