Wanted this to be funnier but some of the jokes feel like they go on forever. Best part is Eddie Murphy & Julia Louis Dreyfus. Didn’t feel the chemistry between the two leads so never got invested (plus they get together so quickly).

It was good but everyone was over exaggerated. Maybe that’s the point, but the fact that Eddie Murphys character was strict all the way until the end when he conveniently lightened up is unrealistic. Jonah Hills mother is ignorant, but the writes made her so ignorant it’s annoyin

YOU people can’t even notice how disrespectful it is to muslims. I would be furious if any other film was badly representing other religion because it lack respect, and it’s 2023 people gets effected and convinced by movies/ shows easily.

My grandma said this movie was going to be racist cause of the title but it was really good

Was a great watch. Loved how they tied comedy while combatting social and racial issues that sometimes go disguised in society.

Probably the worst movie I’ve ever seen

Hilarious but also love how they brought to light the racial & social issues that go unseen or overlooked most of the the time. Dont like how they over exaggerated convos or what the actors wear.

Jokes were forced and the arguments seems exaggerated. The creators already knows that the main character don’t make a believable couple so I won’t talk about that. If Eddie Murphy wasn’t in here I wouldn’t have finished it.

Awful The concept was just stupid. The jokes were tired. Made me not like Jonah hill. It also had a close up of his musty huge feet. And it tried to hard to be relevant with pop culture today. Music soundtrack was bad too. Above all BORING to watch. Would rather be in school.

Exasperates both sides. Overall not even funny.

Personally I think this movie could’ve done better representing interracial relationships between a white man & a black woman in America. I know this is a comedy and that being said, it’s not that comical (but Eddie Murphy’s character definitely saved this film).

It was entertaining to watch but the writing around racism and the struggles of interracial relationships was pretty baseline, i didn’t feel like i learned too much from it. But for a Netflix movie with Jonah Hill & Eddie Murphy, it still had its comical moments & hints of wisdom

Had some really good moments and some really cringey moments too. Not bad, but not great. I liked the premise, Jonah Hill and Eddie Murphy were good in their scenes together as well.

In terms of production it’s very basic, the transition shots got old. Humor is the star however most of that humor is entirely based on socially awkward situations which made me cringe more than laugh. Maybe with a different lead, Jonah didn’t do it for me. 2/5

When I date interracially, I’m always scared to say something racist. I myself am interracial—biracial, I’m mixed, so some of the things I say may be insensitive to others. This movie is hilariously accurate.
